June 19th, 2015.

We had a wonderful week in room 4.  We cannot believe that we are in the final weeks of school.

We worked on finishing up a few of our projects including our book order activity in math, descriptive writing paragraph on our Alberta animal and our wind powered vehicles.

To help celebrate Fathers Day this weekend, the students worked on creating a pieces of art for an important person in their life.  They put a great deal of effort making the multiple step art project represent the person it was created for.

Our Fathers Day Art
We were fortunate to have a parent volunteer to come into the class and lead an art lesson.  The students created their own marbleized paper.  It was amazing to see how different each piece of work turned out.  A big thank you to our volunteer for sharing such a wonderful project with us!

One of the best parts of the week was having the students present their talents.  We listened to the guitar, learned about woodworking, watched a demonstration of Tae Kwon Do and learned about the sport of luge.  We also tried out Chinese jump rope, had a chance to sit on a motorcycle and sampled home baked treats.  We have such a talented group of students and are looking forward to the remaining presentations on Monday.

Next week, our last of the year, will be a busy one!  On Monday afternoon we will be on our trip to Confederation Park.  Tuesday is Play Day and Hot Dog Lunch.  On Thursday we have our Grade 6 Farewell Assembly and Friday is just a half day.  Where has the year gone?!
